Assalamu Alaikum
Recently, a group of dog-logic
followers has been circulating on TikTok, specifically approaching Muslims with
a particular question. They ask, “'Where are the Torah and Injil now?” The
question may sound sincere however, these pack of wolves have an agenda behind
it. Now, the answer to the question, “Where are the Torah and Injil?” They are
in both the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Let us completely annihilate this
ludicrous rhetoric and put it to rest. Before that we must first understand
what is the Torah and Injil according to Qur’an.
[Allah] said, "O Moses, I have chosen you over the
people with My messages and My words [to you]. So take what I have given you
and be among the grateful."
Notice for the above verse we read Moses Pbuh
was given The Tablets الْأَلْوَاحِ that Allah Swt wrote on them all things, instructions and explanations for
all things. The Arabic word كُلِّ شَيْءٍ meaning “ALL THINGS”. This would include the laws, doctrine, instruction, rulings
making it the Torah. All inclusive as part of the revelation.
Moses (PBUH) did not write his
own book; rather, the Bani Israel copied from the revelation written on the
Tablets (الْأَلْوَاحِ), which they placed on scrolls—hiding much
and showing little a book they wrote based on the original revelation. Read Surah
6:91
He has sent down upon you, [O Muhammed],
the Book in truth, confirming what was before it. And He revealed the Torah
and the Injil [Surah 3:3]
O Children of Israel, remember My
favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I
will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me. And
believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you,
and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs
for a small price, and fear [only] Me. And do not mix the truth with falsehood
or conceal the truth while you know [it]. And establish prayer and give zakah
and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience]. [Surah 2:40-43]
And [recall] when We gave
Moses the Scripture and criterion that perhaps you would be guided. [Surah
2:53]
And [recall] when We took the
covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], "Do not
worship except Allah; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the
needy. And speak to people good [words] and establish prayer and give zakah."
Then you turned away, except a few of you, and you were refusing. And [recall]
when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed your [i.e., each
other's] blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you
acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing. [Surah 2: 83-84]
And He will
teach him writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel And [make him] a messenger to
the Children of Israel, [who will say], 'Indeed I have come to you with a sign
from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form
of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah.
And I cure the blind [from birth] and the leper, and I give life to the dead –
by permission of Allah. And I inform you of what you eat and what you store
in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. [Surah
3:48-49]
And [I have
come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you
some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah
and obey me. [Surah 3:50]
All food was
lawful to the Children of Israel except what Israel [i.e., Jacob] had made
unlawful to himself before the Torah was revealed. Say, [O Muhammed], "So
bring the Torah and recite it, if you should be truthful." [Surah 3:93]
For wrongdoing on the part of the
Jews, We made unlawful for them [certain] good foods which had been lawful
to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many [people],
And [for] their taking of usury
while they had been forbidden from it, and their consuming of the people's wealth unjustly. And We have
prepared for the disbelievers among them a painful punishment. [Surah 4:160-161]
Because of that, We decreed
upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul unless for a soul or for
corruption [done] in the land – it is as if he had slain mankind entirely. And
whoever saves one – it is as if he had saved mankind entirely. And Our
messengers had certainly come to them with clear proofs. Then indeed many of
them, [even] after that, throughout the land, were transgressors. [Surah 5:32]
And We ordained for them therein a
life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a
tooth for a tooth, and for wounds is legal retribution. But whoever gives [up
his right as] charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoever does not
judge by what Allah has revealed – then it is those who are the wrongdoers
[i.e., the unjust]. [Surah 5:45]
And We sent, following in
their footsteps, Jesus, the son of Mary, confirming that which came before him
in the Torah; and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and
confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction
for the righteous. [Surah 5:46]
And to those
who are Jews We prohibited every animal of uncloven hoof; and of the cattle and
the sheep We prohibited to them their fat, except what adheres to their backs
or the entrails or what is joined with bone. [By] that We repaid them for their
injustice. And indeed, We are truthful. [Surah 6:146]
Say, "Come, I will recite
what your Lord has prohibited to you. [He commands] that you not associate
anything with Him, and to parents, good treatment, and do not kill your children
out of poverty; We will provide for you and them. And do not approach
immoralities – what is apparent of them and what is concealed. And do not kill
the soul which Allah has forbidden [to be killed] except by [legal] right. This has He
instructed you that you may use reason." And do not approach the orphan's
property except in a way that is best [i.e., intending improvement] until he
reaches maturity. And give full measure and weight in justice. We do not charge
any soul except [with that within] its capacity. And when you speak [i.e.,
testify], be just, even if [it concerns] a near relative. And the covenant of
Allah fulfill. This has He
instructed you that you may remember. [Surah 6:151-152]
Those who
follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written [i.e.,
mentioned] in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them
what is right and forbids them what is wrong and makes lawful for them the good
things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden and
the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him, honored him, supported him and
followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be the
successful. [Surah 7:157]
Indeed, Allah has purchased from
the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will
have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are
killed. [It is] a true promise [binding] upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel
and the Qur’an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in
your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great
attainment. [Surah 9:111]
And We gave
Moses the Scripture and made it a guidance for the Children of Israel that you
not take other than Me as Disposer of affairs, [Surah 17:2]
And We conveyed to the Children of Israel in
the Scripture that, "You will surely cause corruption on the earth twice,
and you will surely reach [a degree of] great haughtiness." [Surah
17:4]
Muhammed is
the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the
disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating
[in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark [i.e.,
sign] is on their faces [i.e., foreheads] from the trace of prostration. That
is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a
plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and
stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers – so that He [i.e., Allah] may enrage by
them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among
them forgiveness and a great reward. [Surah 48:29]
And [mention] when Jesus, the
son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allah
to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of
a messenger to come after me, whose name is Ahmed." But when he came
to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
[Surah 61:6]
He has certainly succeeded who
purifies himself. And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. But you
prefer the worldly life,. While the Hereafter is better and more enduring..
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,. The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
[Surah 87:14-19]
Let us turn to the ahadith.
Evidence From The Conversation of Umar ibn Al Khattab (d. 22 A.H.)
The following narration tells us about a conversation that Umar ibn Al Khattab once had with a Jew...
Sa'eed ibn Al Museeb narrated that it happened that a Muslim and a Jew
had a dispute so they went to Umar bin Al-Khattab to judge between them. Umar
bin Al-khattab ruled in favor for the Jew, which upon the Jew said: "I
swear by Allah, you have judged with the Truth". Umar bin Al-khattab hit
the man with a stick that has a small ball on the top of it when he heard him
saying that. Then Umar bin Al-khattab asked the Jew, "How do you know that
I judged with the truth?" The Jew replied, "We find in the
Torah that whoever judges according to the truth two angels from his right and
left sides assist him to find the truth. Yet, if he went astray
from the truth, they will leave him. (Al Munzhiri declared this
narration to be authentic in Al Targheeb Wal Tarheeb, Volume 3, p.
188)
Evidence from the statement of Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (d. 32 A.H.)
Abdullah
ibn Mas'ud is reported to have
said...
"While a person is in his grave, The first place to start with
punishment is his feet yet his feet prevent this punishment from happening by
saying: "You cannot punish me in anyway as this man always recited Sura
Al-Mulk". Thus, it (the punishment) approaches him from his chest
(stomach) side yet his chest prevents the punishments from happening by saying:
"You cannot harm or punish me as this man always recited Sura
Al-Mulk." Then the punishment of the grave turns to his head but his head
prevents this punishment from happening and says: "You cannot punish me
because this man always recited Sura Al-Mulk." This Sura is indeed called
the preventer that prevents the occurrence of punishment. It is
stated in Torah that whoever recites Surah Al Mulk at night, he would be doing
very good acts. (Hadith scholar, Al Munthiri declares this
narration to be saheeh (authentic) or hasan (good) in his book Al
Targheeb Wal Tarheeb, Volume 2, p. 320. Sheikh Albani also affirms the
authenticity of this narration in Saheeh Al Targheeb, hadith
no. 1475)
Evidence from the statement of Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn al-'Aass (d. 63
A.H.)
The following narration shows us what Abdullah
Ibn Amr Ibn al-'Aass is reported to have
said once during a conversation...
Narrated Ata bin Yasar:
I met Abdullah bin 'Amr bin Al-'As and asked him, "Tell me about
the description of Allah's Apostle which is mentioned in Torah (i.e. Old
Testament.") He replied, 'Yes. By Allah, he is described in Torah with
some of the qualities attributed to him in the Quran as follows:
"O Prophet ! We have sent you as a witness (for Allah's True
religion) And a giver of glad tidings (to the faithful believers), And a warner
(to the unbelievers) And guardian of the illiterates. You are My slave and My
messenger (i.e. Apostle). I have named you "Al-Mutawakkil" (who
depends upon Allah). You are neither discourteous, harsh Nor a
noise-maker in the markets And you do not do evil to those Who do evil to you,
but you deal With them with forgiveness and kindness. Allah will not let him
(the Prophet) Die till he makes straight the crooked people by making them say:
"None has the right to be worshipped but Allah," With which will be
opened blind eyes And deaf ears and enveloped hearts." [Saheeh
Bukhari Volume 3, Book 34, Number
335]
There is a
narration from Islamic historian from medieval era Ibn`Asakir ابن عساكر (b. 1106 AD, Damascus, Syria) which recorded a an
instance where a prominent jewish rabbi named Ka’ab كعب was aware of this
servant of God name and he has confirmed that it was written in his Torah that
his name is “Ahmad”, the chosen one, who is neither rude nor harsh and he would
not a loudmouth in markets. The rabbi said:
.أجد
في التوراة: عبدي
أحمد المختار, لا
فظ ولا غليظ ولا صخاب في الأسواق,
‘Ajid fil
tawraat abdii ‘Ahmad al Mukhtaar, la fadhin wala ghaliidhin wala
sakhkhaabin fil ‘aswaaq
I find in the Torah: My servant, Ahmad, the
Chosen one. He is neither rude nor harsh. And he would not a loudmouth
in markets.
Notice how
rabbi named Ka’ab pronounced the servant of God name from 1200 years ago ” ‘Abdi Ahmad, al’muhtar…”
in Arabic and compare this with its hebrew equivalent in the TaNaKH “Hen abdi ahmad, bo-behiri…”.
Whats interesting about this is, the rabbi said this is found in hisTorah, he
did not said Isaiah.
Narrated
Safwan bin Assal: "... So they [some Jews] went to the Messenger of Allah
(ﷺ) to question him about nine
clear signs. So he said to them:
1) 'Do not
associate anything with Allah,
2) nor
steal,
3) nor
commit unlawful intercourse,
4) nor take
a life which Allah has made prohibited prohibited, except for what is required
(in the law),
5) nor
hasten to damage the reputation of one of power so that he will be killed,
6) nor
practice magic,
7) nor consume
Riba,
8) nor
falsely accuse the chaste woman,
9) nor turn
to flee on the day of the march,
and for you
Jews particularly, to not violate the Sabbath.'..." (Jami' al-Tirmidhi
Book: 42, Hadith: 2733 )

حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
The Jews
brought [to the Prophet peace be upon him] a man and a woman among them who
committed adultery. The Prophet peace be upon him said, "Bring the two
most knowledgeable men from amongst you." The Jews brought the two
sons of Suriyya, and the Prophet peace be upon him asked them, "What
punishment do you find in the Torah regarding these two?" They said,
"In the Torah, we find that if four men testify that they saw his male organ in her
womb, similar to when the eyeliner is inserted inside the eyeliner container;
in this case they are stoned." The Prophet peace be upon him said, "What
made you stop stoning?" They said, "Our kingship (meaning
Jewish) was taken from us and we hated killing." The Messenger of
Allah asked for four witnesses and they brought four men who testified that
they saw his penis in her womb like the eyeliner is inserted in the eyeliner
container. The Messenger of Allah ordered that the two [adulterers] are
stoned. (Sunan Abu Dawud, Hadith no. 3862, Source. Sheikh Albani declared this hadith
authentic in Sunan Abu Dawud, hadith no.4452)
As you can

bone.
Not steal
Not commit
unlawful intercourse
Practice
magic
Not violate

Give full
measure and weight in justice
Inform you
of what you eat and what you store in your houses
Glad tidings
of a Messenger to come who’s name is AHMED.
Note Isa AS
came to confirm the Torah which preceded him thus, a few additional commands would
have been made. Ultimately the Injil which he was given would be the Good News
of the Messenger Prophet Muhammed Pbuh as mentioned in Surah 61:6.
Next time Christians
ask where is the torah and Injil tell them its in the Qur’an.
