The hypocrisy and double standards used by Christians is beyond
a joke. Take for example the recent post
i made on Facebook.
------------------
Rather than explaining how Elizabeth the wife or Zachariah
and mother of John the Baptist was the daughter of Aaron the brother of Moses.
Christian turn to Muslims and ask how was Mary Pbuh was the sister of Aaron?
talk about double standards!
There was in
the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the
course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was
Elisabeth. (Luke 1:5)
note: Elisabeth was one of the daughters (θυγατέρα) of
Aaron.
------------------
And that’s exactly how it went. Christians rather then
answering jumped all over the place like a kangaroo. This is surprising, since every
time Christians get cornered they tend to divert or throw a fit i.e. turn to
insults. We had a Christian lady who
tried beating around the bush. At first, she said “daughter of Aaron means descendent
of Aaron” then she said the both women mentioned i.e. Mary in the Quran and
Bible are not the same?
Here’s the problem with Christians like her. When Muslims
explain a certain verse or passage from the Quran by quoting from Quran
scholars and other interpretations, Christians are the first to reject it. Take
for example when Mary Pbuh was called the sister of Aaron by the Jews. This is
not a new discovery found in the Quran unknown my Muslims? In fact this query
goes back to the time of Prophet Muhammed Pbuh on when he was asked about this
specific verse by his companion Mughira
b. Shu‘ba (Ra) who
was questioned by the Christians of Najran.
Mughira b. Shu‘ba reported: When I came to Najran, they (the
Christians of Najran) asked me: You read "O sister of Harun" in the
Qur'an, whereas Moses was born much before Jesus. When I came back to Allah's
Messenger (may peace be upon him) I asked him about that, whereupon he said: "The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after
the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them."
Notice from the Hadith how clear the saying is, "The (people of the old age) used to give names (to their persons) after
the names of Apostles and pious persons who had gone before them."
Now, when we tell Christians that Mary was not the sister of Aaron
Pbuh the brother of Moses, rather people were named after Apostles and Pious people,
Christians reject this and start arguing?
It’s amazing how they play gymnastics when it comes to their own
bible. saying Elizabeth was a descendent
of Aaron not his real daughter, whereas the text of Luke is clear she was a daughter
of Aaron really shows how deluded and ignorant they’ve become towards the
understanding of tribal language during ancient times.
Note, the Jews were referring to Mary Pbuh as the sister of Aaron. This
is not how Allah Swt called her. Allah Swt is narrating to us the events of Mary
Pbuh and what was the reaction of the Jews towards her. The question is how
comes the Jews didn’t call her the Sister of Moses? Was she not the sister of
Moses also? How could the Jews leave out the name of Moses and instead call her
the sister of Aaron makes no sense?
So, Numbers 20:1 says Miriam died
before Moses. if that’s the case, why didn't the Jews call Moses and
Aaron after she had her baby? why did they only speak to her, where was Moses? surely they would of ran to Moses telling him what his sister did right?
if you going by the Biblical
criteria then we must note where in the Bible does it say Mariam had a virgin
birth went to the Jews and they called her sister of Aaron only?
Now here’s where we are going to play a little biblical game with
our Christian friends to see if they really know their own bible.
1) How many Mary’s were there during the time of Jesus?
2) Did Mary the mother of Jesus of the bible have any brothers? If not,
can you prove from scriptures that she had no siblings?
3) Both Matthew and Paul call Jesus the son of David, how could Jesus
be David’s son unless he was born after or before Solomon?
4) If a man by the name of Joseph could live at the same time of Mary,
why then can't a man by the name of Aaron also live at the same time of Mary?
5) Why did Abraham call his nephew Lot brother?
6) Why did Joseph call his younger brother Benjamin son?
7) Jesus said anyone who does the will of God is his brother, sister, mother
Now to the second part, “both Mary’s are not the same” for once we
can agree both Mary’s are not the same. According to the Matthew, Mary of the
bible was conceived by the Holy ghost! For a Christian it’s part of faith to
accept Mary had sex with the holy ghost as found in Luke, so yes they are different.
Now coming back Mary being the sister of Aaron. Christians have to
accept Jesus said whoever follows the command of God is a brother, sister, mother to
him. The question is how many Christians believe Jesus is their brother or son?
if its true what Jesus said can we refer you as OH SISTER OF JESUS!
The heresy of the Collyridians was very simple: They worshiped Mary. This was in direct conflict with the Catholic Church’s condemnation of idolatry [https://www.catholic.com/magazine/print-edition/collyridianism]
The other problem we have is, Miriam being the daughter of Amram
is only mentioned in 1 chronicle 6:1. however the Pentateuch makes no mention
of Miriam being the daughter of Amram other than his two sons Aaron and Moses.
Amram married his father's sister Jochebed, who bore him Aaron
and Moses. Amram lived 137 years. (Exodus 6:20)
we read Miriam is not mentioned as the daughter of Amram. now
coming to Chronicles, unfortunately the earliest fragments found in the Qumran
caves don’t have Chronicles 6. the only contents of fragments we have are 4Q118
2 Chronicles 28:27; 291-3.
Now Christians would turn to the Book of Numbers and say she was
the daughter of Amram
the
name of Amram's wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to the
Levites in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses and their sister Miriam.
(Number 26:59)
Once
again with disappointment to Christians, this verse is missing from the earliest
fragments that we have 4QNumb cave 2. The DSS skips 5 verse after verse 57 and
starts from verse 62. 4QNumb cave 2
Thus, your argument that Miriam was the daughter of Amram can be
dismissed since no mention of her related to Amram is found in the earliest fragments of the "Torah"
also, "The wife of `Imran mentioned here is the mother of Maryam, and her name is Hannah bint Faqudh." and, According to the Torah, Jochebed was a daughter of Levi and mother of Aaron, Miriam and Moses. She was the wife of Amram, as well as his aunt. both are not the same.
---------
Here is how an uninformed people are.obviously are not aware that In ancient Semitic usage, a person's name was often linked with that of a renowned ancestor or founder of the tribal line. Thus, for instance, a man of the tribe of Banu Tamim was sometimes addressed as "son of Tamim" or "brother of Tamim". Since Mary belonged to the priestly caste, and hence descended from Aaron, the brother of Moses, she was called a "sister of Aaron" (in the same way as her cousin Elisabeth, the wife of Zachariah, is spoken of in Luke 1, 5, as one "of the daughters of Aaron").

Another Christian claim destroyed!
Narrated Anas:
said: "It reached Safiyyah that Hafsah said: 'The daughter of a Jew' so she wept. Then the Prophet (ﷺ) entered upon her while she was crying, so he said: 'What makes you cry?' She said: 'Hafsah said to me that I am the daughter of a Jew.' So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'And you are the daughter of a Prophet, and your uncle is a Prophet, and you are married to a Prophet, so what is she boasting to you about?' Then he said: 'Fear Allah, O Hafsah.'" (Jami` at-Tirmidhi Vol. 1, Book 46, Hadith 3894)
Narrated Safiyyah bint Huyai:
"The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) entered upon me and some words had reached me from Hafsah and 'Aishah. So I mentioned it to him. So he said: 'Why did you not say: "And how are you better than me, while my husband is Muhammad and my father is Harun, and my uncle is Musa?" That which had reached her, was that they had said: "We are more honored to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) than her," and that they said: "We are the wives of the Prophet (Peace be upon him) and his cousins." (Trimidhi 3892)
--------------
From the first Hadith we read Prophet Muhammed Pbuh called his wife Safiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) the daughter, niece and wife of Prophets. Though the second Hadith is daif we can see the correlation between the two. The first Hadith says Safiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) was the daughter of a Prophet and niece of a Prophet and married to a Prophet. The second Hadith tells us who those Prophets were i.e. their names are given. Here we can see that calling Safiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) the daughter of a Prophet who lived long before her does not literally mean she was his actual daughter, rather she was a descendent from the line of the Prophets making her a daughter through linage.
This is enough to prove calling an individual son, daughter or sister of a Prophet does not mean they were the real, biological child of that Prophet. This use of language was very common during ancient days by Arabs and Jews, and even now in some parts of the worlds such "epithet" is used whilst referring to someone.
We can also clarify that the Hadith does not literally mean the father and uncle of Safiyyah (May Allah be pleased with her) called Prophet were from the same time era. There is an authetc Hadith which says
Narrated Salman:
The interval between Jesus and Muhammad was six hundred years. (Sahih al-Bukhari 3948)
This tells us during the time of Prophet Muhammed Pbuh, there were no other Prophets. We learn calling one the daughter or son of a pious person does not make them the literal son or daughter.

Professor David Thomas comments on 5:116 as not to be taken as the literal understating Trinity, but rather as giving examples of shirk and a "warning against excessive devotion to Jesus & veneration of Mary,
(David Thomas, Trinity, Encyclopedia of the Qur'an pp. 369-370)
Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. (Luke 1:5)
Wait! Elisabeth was the daughter of Aaron, whereas the OT tells us Elisabeth was the wife of Aaron?
And Aaron took to himself to wife Elisabeth [Ελισαβὲθ] [Exodus 6:23 LXX ]
not to mention Aaron lived thousand years before Elizabeth so how was she his daughter?
