Surah 21:105

وَلَـقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِى الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّكۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ  (Surah 21:105)

We have written in the Psalms, after the Reminder, that the earth will be inherited by My righteous servants. (Surah 21:105)

Christians claim this verse from the Quran was a direct plagiarism from the bible. Their bold claim of plagiarism is beyond a joke. In Shaa Allah let's make a comparison of the Arabic from the Quran and Arabic Bible to see how close they are in order for it to be classed as plagiarism.

 يَأخُذُ الصّالِحُونَ الأرْضَ المَوعُودَةَ
وَإلَى الأبَدِ يَسكُنُونَها.(Psalm 37:29 ERV-AR)

الصِّدِّيقُونَ يَرِثُونَ خَيْرَاتِ الأَرْضِ وَيَسْكُنُونَ فِيهَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ.(Psalm 37:29 Nav)

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. (Psalm 37:29)

צַדִּיקִ֥ים יִֽירְשׁוּ־אָ֑רֶץ וְיִשְׁכְּנ֖וּ לָעַ֣ד עָלֶֽיהָ׃

The righteous shall inherit the land, and abide forever in it. (Psalm 37:29 Hebrew Bible)

الصِّدِّيقُونَ يَرِثُونَ الأَرْضَ وَيَسْكُنُونَهَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ.
مزامير (Psalm 37:29 Orthodox Coptic Arabic)

الصديقون يرثون الارض ويسكنونها الى الابد‎.(Psalm 37:29 Biblehub Arabic)

------------

Now that we have a few Arabic text from the bible, let's make a comparison we see for ourselves if the words written in the Quran was allegedly plagiarised from the book of psalm

To be honest without even making a comparison we can easily dismantle their claim.  The verse at hand of the Quran clearly mentions Psalm الزَّبُوۡرِ. How then was the verse plagiarised when the name of the book was mentioned? In order to qualify as plagiarism, one must show that the author made no mention of the source.

1)

وَلَـقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِى الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّكۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ  (Surah 21:105)

--------------------

الصِّدِّيقُونَ يَرِثُونَ الأَرْضَوَيَسْكُنُونَهَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ. (Psalm 37:29 Van Dye)

Notice from the Arabic bible the only word found in the Quran is Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth with spelling variation. Just one word? Note, earth is a common word which is used in the Quran many times and  the bible.

2)

(Psalm 37:29 Nav)

Again we read from the Arabic bible the only word found in the Quran is Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth with spelling variation. Just one word? Note, earth is a common word which is used in the Quran many times and  the bible.

3)

وَلَـقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِى الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّكۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ  (Surah 21:105)

-----------------

الصِّدِّيقُونَ يَرِثُونَ الأَرْضَ وَيَسْكُنُونَهَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ.
مزامير (Psalm 37:29 Orthodox Coptic Arabic)

Once again we read from the Arabic bible the only word found in the Quran is Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth with spelling variation. Just one word? Note, earth is a common word which is used in the Quran many times and  the bible.

4)

وَلَـقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِى الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّكۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ  (Surah 21:105)

----------------

الصديقون يرثون الارض ويسكنونها الى الابد‎.(Psalm 37:29 Biblehub Arabic)

And again, we read from the Arabic bible the only word found in the Quran is Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth with spelling variation. Just one word? Note, earth is a common word which is used in the Quran many times and the bible.

5)

وَلَـقَدۡ كَتَبۡنَا فِى الزَّبُوۡرِ مِنۡۢ بَعۡدِ الذِّكۡرِ اَنَّ الۡاَرۡضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِىَ الصّٰلِحُوۡنَ  (Surah 21:105)

----------------

الصَّالِحُونَ يَرِثُونَ الْأَرْضَ، وَيَسْكُنُونَ فِيهَا إِلَى الْأَبَدِ. (Psalm 37:29 Sharif Arabic Bible)

And again, we read from the Arabic bible the only word found in the Quran is Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth with spelling variation. Just one word? Note, earth is a common word which is used in the Quran many times and the bible.

We have made five different Arabic versions in comparison with the words from the Quran and we see only the word Ard (لأَرْضَو) meaning earth. Seriously and they call that plagiarism?

Even if we compare the English translation, they don’t read the same.

We have written in the Psalms, after the Reminder, that the earth will be inherited by My righteous servants. (Surah 21:105)

The righteous shall inherit the land, and abide forever in it. (Psalm 37:29 Hebrew Bible)

Notice the difference between the two is stupendous. So, what do we understand from the verse of the Quran? Our scholars have explained it for us clearly. Below is an explanation Ibn Kathir

Al-Anbiya - 21:105

English - Ibn Kathir
The Earth will be inherited by the Righteous

Allah tells us of His decree for His righteous servants who are the blessed in this world and in the Hereafter, those who will inherit the earth in this world and in the Hereafter.

As Allah says:

إِنَّ الَارْضَ للَّهِ يُورِثُهَا مَن يَشَأءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ وَالْعَـقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

Verily, the earth is Allah's. He gives it as a heritage to whom He wills of His servants; and the (blessed) end is for those who have Taqwa. (7:128)

إِنَّا لَنَنصُرُ رُسُلَنَا وَالَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فِى الْحَيَوةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ يَقُومُ الاٌّشْهَـدُ

Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe in this world's life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth. (40:51)

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ ءامَنُواْ مِنْكُمْ وَعَمِلُواْ الصَّـلِحَاتِ لَيَسْتَخْلِفَنَّهُمْ فِى الاْرْضِ كَمَا اسْتَخْلَفَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَلَيُمَكّنَنَّ لَهُمْ دِينَهُمُ الَّذِى ارْتَضَى لَهُمْ

Allah has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practice their religion which He has chosen for them. (24:55)

Allah tells us that this is recorded in the Books of Divine Laws and Decrees, and that it will inevitably come to pass.

Allah says:

وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ

And indeed We have written in Az-Zabur after Adh-Dhikr,
Al-A`mash said:"I asked Sa`id bin Jubayr about the Ayah:

وَلَقَدْ كَتَبْنَا فِي الزَّبُورِ مِن بَعْدِ الذِّكْرِ

(And indeed We have written in Az-Zabur after Adh-Dhikr, He said:
`Az-Zabur means the Tawrah, the Injil and the Qur'an."'

Mujahid said,

"Az-Zabur means the Book."

Ibn Abbas, Ash-Sha`bi, Al-Hasan, Qatadah and others said,

"Az-Zabur is that which was revealed to Dawud, and Adh-Dhikr is the Tawrah."

Mujahid said:

"Az-Zabur means the Books which came after Adh-Dhikr, and Adh-Dhikr is the Mother of the Book (Umm Al-Kitab) which is with Allah."

This was also the view of Zayd bin Aslam:

"It is the First Book."

Ath-Thawri said:

"It is Al-Lawh Al-Mahfuz."

أَنَّ الاَْرْضَ يَرِثُهَا عِبَادِيَ الصَّالِحُونَ

that My righteous servants shall inherit the land.

Mujahid said, narrating from Ibn Abbas,

"This means, the land of Paradise."

This was also the view of Abu Aliyah, Mujahid, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ash-Sha`bi, Qatadah, As-Suddi, Abu Salih, Ar-Rabi` bin Anas and Ath-Thawri (may Allah have mercy on them).

إِنَّ فِي هَذَا لَبَلَغًا لِّقَوْمٍ عَابِدِينَ

Further more we read from academic sources the earliest text of the Arabic bible stems from as late as the 10th century.

The earliest fragment of the Old Testament in Arabic is a text of Psalm 77, found in the Umayyad Mosque. Initially it was dated to the end of the 8th century by Bruno Violet (Violet, Bruno (1901). Ein zweisprachiges Psalmfragment aus Damaskus. Orientalistische Literaturzeitung 4.)

the scholar who discovered the fragments in 1901.(Geoffrey W. Bromiley (1 June 1995). The international standard Bible encyclopedia. Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. p. 982.)

However recent research has paleographically dated this manuscript to late 9th- and early 10th century due to new discoveries of photographs. (Volandt, Ronny (2015). Arabic Versions of the Pentateuch: A Comparative Study of Jewish, Christian & Muslim Sources. Brill. p. 56. [...] Mavroudi convincingly argued for the ninth- or early tenth-century.)

Conclusion.

It is clear from the Quran the verse Christian are referring to from the book of Psalm was not plagiarised as we demonstrated. The fact the Quran mentions Psalm shows Christians have exposed themselves for using a strawman argument a baseless claim which their own Arabic bible denies. Indeed very embarrassing for Christians.

Argument for the Jews claiming that Ezra is the son of God from Jewish sources.
