And there is a party among them
who twist their tongues while reciting the Book to make you think that it is
part of the Book when in fact it is not. They say:
'It is from Allah', when in fact it is not from Allah. They falsely fix a lie
upon Allah, and do so wittingly. ( Surah 3:78)
We read in the Quran Allah Swt telling us, how a party from amongst the
people of the Book twist the words of Allah Swt with their tongues. Distorting its meaning, and deceiving people. They
would say “it is from Allah” when in reality is it not from Allah. Not only
would they distort the texts by misinterpreting its meaning with their tongues,
they would also write their own Book claiming it was from God.
Woe,
then, to those who write out the Scriptures with their own hands and then, in
order to make a trifling gain, claim: “This is from Allah.” Woe to them for what their hands have written and
woe to them for what they thus earn. (Surah2:79)
Here we read Allah Swt is informing us how
these men would write scriptures with their own hand claiming it was from Allah
Swt. Again, Not only would they distort the texts
by misinterpreting its meaning with their tongues (Surah 3:78), they would also
write their own Book claiming it was from God.
in the Quran Allah Swt informs us of Prophets who were given revelations
and scriptures.
Say:
'We believe in Allah and what was revealed to us and what was revealed to
Abraham and Ishmael and to Issac and Jacob and his descendents, and the
teachings which Allah gave to Moses and Jesus and to other Prophets. We make no
distinction between any of them and to Him do we submit. (Surah 3:84)
(O
Muhammad!) We have revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the Prophets
after him, and We revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob
and the offspring of Jacob, and Jesus and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron and
Solomon, and We gave to David Psalms. (Surah 4:163)
Did you notice something from the above two verses? Nowhere is Mark,
Matthew, Luke, John and Paul mentioned. The very gospels that Christians want
to us believe in written by those 5 individuals are not mentioned in any of
those two verses from the Quran. Notice in both verses Surah 3:84 and Surah
4:163, revelations were given to Jesus Pbuh not any of his disciples or later followers.
So the question arises from whom did Mark, Matthew, Luke, John and Paul get their inspiration
from? If Jesus Pbuh was preaching the Gospel (singular), here we have 5
individuals writing their version of Gospel, which becomes Gospels (plural). Christians
claim those Gospels are from God i.e. they are the inspired word of God. which
we can see Allah Swt informing us about such lies as found in surah 3:78
And there is a party among them

part of the Book when in fact it is not. They say:

SubhanAllah and All Praise is due to Allah, who with his Mercy has
blessed us and made us Muslims Alhumdulillah. we have been warned of such
deceptions, that Christians bring to us. They want us to accept books which are
lies and carry no weight of truth..
As salaam alaikum brother good observation but I have a question that I need some clarity on
ReplyDeleteIf you can please elaborate on this hadith and what does it mean and how we ought to understand I would greatly appreciate it
"The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “When any of you wakes up from his sleep and makes ablution, let him clean his nose three times, because Satan stays at night at the upper part of his nose.” (sahih Al-Bukhari)
