Guide To Missionary Tactics

This guide is intended to improve awareness about the tactics used by some groups and cults. The tactics of missionaries and missionary groups may vary, but there are some basic guidelines to keep in mind that will be helpful in dealing with them

HIDDEN AGENDA

Some missionaries attempt to develop a rapport with their subject without divulging their own religious affiliation or intention. As an example to make making them seem less "Christian" missionaries are coached by their superiors to avoid using words such as "Christ" or "savior" or "baptize".

If you are not sure about the religious identity of the stranger who begins talking to you about religion, ask him directly about his beliefs and agenda. Be suspicious of an indirect answer. Remember these people aren't interested in dialogue or trying to improve Anglo-Muslim links but are often in SECURE PAID EMPLOYMENT to Sell Christianity.

CREATING DOUBT

When talking to a Muslim about religion, a missionary may attempt to elicit as many "I don't know" responses as possible, in order to establish his superiority in matters of religion. Don't allow yourself to be intimidated!

Remember, the missionary has studied Islamic beliefs for the sole purpose to sell Christianity to Muslims. There heart are sealed and they are no longer interested in truth. Keep in mind that he is not speaking to you in order to exchange ideas, but rather to create as much doubt in your mind and lead you away from your faith. If you want to learn more about the Quran, do so from someone who doesn't have hidden motives. Therefore, feel free to simply end the conversation and walk away.

Remember that many of these questions and associations they are trying to sell have been debunked many times by more learned Muslims. If they were interested in dialogue the would be speaking to respected elders and community leaders exploring common ground improving understanding and faith in the community, but all one sees are the often the same question again to unsuspecting victims. Ask yourself what do they hope to gain ?

However, some of you may want to listen to their arguments and then learn the Muslim response, in order to be better prepared for future encounters. One must also remember that many missionaries intentionally go into Muslim areas in Britain so they train themselves and create the most seductive "Sales Pitch" they can manage. Once they have finished there training in salesmanship they will target unsuspecting Muslims (the lonely, vulnerable and weak) lacking in knowledge.

The following pointers should give you a basic idea of what to look for.

DECEPTION

The missionary may tell you that he (or a Christian friend or acquaintance) was once an Muslim, or that he had a solid Muslim education, a traditional Muslim family life, etc. This is almost always a lie, so don't let him fool you. The hidden message that he is attempting to convey is that he came to accept Christianity after knowing and overcoming all of the Muslim objections (Jesus being son of god, Bible being corrupted by man etc.), and therefore, why should you bother to check it out?
He may drop certain Islamic phrases or talk about the details of his "traditional" Muslim upbringing, in order to lend more credence to his story. In fact, his "memory" is often the result of careful coaching.
The missionary might tell you that he knows the Islamic objections to his arguments, and will then proceed to show how such objectives are ill-founded. Don't expect to hear the real Islamic response from such a source.

GOOD, BAD OR UGLY

Don't be taken in by the "good cop - bad cop" routine. This routine involves a "bad cop" who threatens the subject, and a "good cop" who protects him from the "bad cop". The subject is so grateful to the "good cop", and so worried about losing the good-will of his protector, that he invariably shows his appreciation by telling the "good cop" what he wants to hear. In similar fashion, the "good" Christian talks about how much he loves and respects Muslims, while denouncing the "bad" Christians who hate and have persecuted Muslims. The naive and ones lacking in knowledge of Christian history and bigotry will feel grateful to the "good cop", and may automatically judge him to be a friend and reliable ally. Watch out for hidden motives behind such "friendship".

WHO BELIEVES IN THE SON OF GOD?

At the outset, the missionary will talk about his belief that Jesus is the messiah. Many Muslims don't find out until later, often after they have joined a Christian friendship group, that their fundamental belief is that Jesus is god. Any talk about "the messiah" or "son of god" is merely a cover for that belief, basic to Christianity . However, since such a concept is repugnant in Islam, this most basic belief of Christianity is glossed over as much as possible when missionaries talk to Muslims.

PROOF Or SPOOF?

Don't be impressed by the claim that Christians have 50, or 100, or 300 "proofs" that they are correct in their claims about Jesus. As proof after proof is shown to be meaningless, the missionary will hide behind his numbers, as if to say: "Well, we have so many more proofs, what's the difference if you can disprove some of them". He will attempt to "split the difference" with you: "Well, even if half our proofs prove nothing, we still have another 25 or 50, or 150". Remember, all of their proofs can be shown to be untenable. Keep in mind that a faulty point is not worth 50% of a good point, or 25%, or 10%. It is worthless. The simple mathematics are: 50 x 0 = 0, 100 x 0 = 0, 300 x 0 = 0.

CIRCULAR REASONING

Very often, the reasoning used by Christian missionaries is circular. That is, the "proof" only points to something is if you believe it in the first place, and therefore is no proof at all.

MISTRANSLATION

Be aware of the problem of mistranslating. A person who is not familiar with Arabic can be lead to accept a mistranslating which puts a Christian "twist" on a verse that never had such a meaning in the original. If you can't check it out yourself, talk to a reliable person who can. Remember, it is no coincidence that the Muslims of past generations, who were much better versed in the Arabic, never had any serious problems refuting Christian missionary arguments.

In addition beware of Christian Translations of the Quran, many date from sixteenth to the eighteenth century with the sole intention of to discredit Islam.

Please keep in mind ANY translation (interpretation) of the Quran will most definitely contain errors In its natural language (Arabic), the Quran is the direct Word of Allah (God) to mankind through the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Any translation of the Quran no longer retains that 'official' and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to beginning students wanting to learn more about Islam.

We would strongly encourage those want to learn about Islam to purchase a copy of the Quran but with the following conditions:
+ get one with commentary (tafseer)
+ make sure the tafseer is scholarly (e.g. references to reasons behind a verse, references to hadith and sunnah etc.)

QUOTING OUT OF CONTEXT

Often a verse will be quoted to you that has been taken entirely out of context. When the entire chapter that contains that verse is read, it becomes clear that it does not corroborate the Missionary.

Conclusion : Selling Timeshare or Christshare?
You may recognize many of the tactics used by some Missionaries in selling there faith as they have similarities to disreputable Timeshare and Double glazing salesman, and this raises some interesting points:

Why would one propagate faith in such a deceitful and underhanded way, is it because:

God will not aid ones seeking the true path?

A bad product is difficult to sell unless you dupe someone?

If you are genuinely interested in faith

Why don't you go ask someone with a sound knowledge and understanding of Islam, instead of targeting the naive, vulnerable and the weak.

Why do you seek out the naive and week and then intentionally ask Mischievous questions, when they have been answered many times by learned scholars and by people that you have approached over the years? Surely this does not add to knowledge or understanding.

Why do you target Muslims

Considering the moral depravity often in your own family and neighbourhood and within so called Christians.

Is it because Muslims are wealthy in faith?

Is it because you have so much hatred for us and you are unable, incapable or tired of other methods:

RIDICULE

There is a very large number of publications by Muslims explaining Islam in plain and simple English. Look in any public library for books on Islam, a large proportion of them will be by orientalists and Christian missionaries, what do you think motivates someone to write a book on a subject one does not believe in and an area that has been already covered by numerous other books? Remember Christian "Translations" of the Quran whose sole intention was to discredit Islam.

CRUSADES

Butchered everyone including defenseless women and children or any one else that got in there way. Although it has taken many hundreds of years Crusaders have improved they now only kill some women and RAPE THE REST. The twentieth centuary has seen "Ethnic Cleansing" replace the word Crusade, in 1996 one of the youngest recorded victim of rape in Bosnia was a baby of 4 Months old. Many women and children had two of there fingers severed by the Serbs so that the three remaining fingers would remind them of the Trinity.

A WAY FORWARD

While we as Muslims believe that the entire Quran is the word of God and we would like every one to accept it as such, God Himself has given the freedom of religion which we respect. With that in mind, all we hope is that non-Muslims will at least enlighten themselves with an open heart and mind by knowing what Islam is. We hope that Muslims, Christians and Jews will find ways to work together to bring peace on earth by eradicating immorality, fear, hate, disease, poverty and injustice.

Muslims welcome the chance improve dialogue and understanding with all faiths. In addition we do not object to other groups explaining there ideas and faith to whomever expresses an interest, but we do think it is unacceptable that missionaries demean other faiths, use deceitful methods and harass communities with what can be described highly trained and focused door to door salesman.

USE THE PROPER RESOURCES!

Most Muslims spend their time studying Islam trying to find a path to true enligtenment, and therefore may not be familiar with the "curve-ball" approach of missionaries. If you need advice concerning a problem of this sort, get in touch with people who are familiar with the tactics being used and who know how to deal with them.

Isn't this referring to Yahweh

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)

--------------------

Let's analyse the above passage Sentence by Sentence spoken by Jesus of the bible compare it and see if it fits Yahweh the God of Isreal :

("You are of your father the devil, John 8:44")

                         Compare to

You are the children of the LORD your God.........
(Deuteronomy 14:1)

---------

("and your will is to do your father’s desires. John 8:44")

                          Compare to

"A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the LORD's work! A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed! (Jeremiah 48:10)

---------

(He was a murderer from the beginning, John 8:44)

                           Compare to

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
(1 Samuel 15:3)

---------

("because there is no truth in him. John 8:44")

                            Compare to

Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people.
(Jeremiah 4:10)

O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived.
(Jeremiah 20:7)

And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet.  (Ezekiel 14:9)

Now, therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee. (1 Kings 22:23)

---------

("When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, John 8:44")

                              Compare to

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai--'God Almighty'--but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them. (Exodus 6:3),

But he did tell Abraham his name is genesis 15:7

He also said to him, "I am the LORD, (Yahweh) who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it." (Genesis 15:7)

-----------------------------------

Yes it's crystal clear Jesus of the bible was referring to YAHWEH SATAN THE FATHER OF JEWS!!!!!!

SHAME SHAME

Can you accept such a god?

The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled (GRIEVED). (Genesis 6:6)

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his SOUL hateth (psalm 11:5)

--------------------

It's bad enough humans having depression, stress, troubled times, grieve etc. But can you imagine God having his heard troubled? I.e Grieved !!!!! His soul hates those who do violence?

Now the question is if God is having his own troubles which directly effects his heart how can you even depend on such a god?. (Note the KJV goes as far as saying God repented) Does god have a soul? Why would god have a soul when God is the creator of the soul. Soul resides inside the body and this god Christians want us to accept seems to have a heart and soul?

A God who rests needs refreshing and often gets tired?

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. (Exodus 31:17)

I am weary to bear them. (Isaiah 1:14)

Thou has wearied me with thine iniquities. (Isaiah 43:24)

I am weary with repenting. (Jeremiah 15:6)

How absurd according to Christians The Most Powerful God who created everything has a heart and soul needs to rest and refresh himself ? What kind of a joke is this!.

Think about it

Was Moses' Father-in-law his Grandfather-in-Law?

When the girls returned to Reuel their father, he asked them, "Why have you returned so early today?" ( Exodus 2:18)

Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place about which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you.' Come with us and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel."
(Numbers 10:29)

(From the above passages we take it his father-in-laws name was Reuel? Maybe not łets read more passages..)

---------------

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.  (Exodus 3:1)

Then Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, "Let me return to my own people in Egypt to see if any of them are still alive." Jethro said, "Go, and I wish you well." (Exodus 4:18)

(Wait a sec wasn't moses' father-in-laws name Reuel? Unless he has two names?? Well let's one more passage to get a better understanding of this mans name..)

-----------------

Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh. (Judges 4:11)

Where did Hobab come from??? Is Hobab the son of Reuel ?

--------------------------

What do schołars say about all this??

There seems to be some confusion in the traditions preserving—or creating as the case may be—the name of Moses’ father-in-law, Zipporah’s father.
The textual tradition identified as the Yahwist consistently refers to him as Reuel (Ex 2:18; Num 10:29), while the Elohist tradition uses the name Jethro (Ex 3:1, 3:18, 18:1-27).
To further complicate issues, another source names Hobab as the father-in-law of Moses (Judg 4:11), and Num 10:29 refers to Hobab as Reuel’s son, implying therefore that Reuel was Moses’ grandfather-in-law

In short Reuel could not have been moses' father-in-law according to judges 4:11.. The NIV goes a step further trying to fix the problem making Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, with conflicts even more with judges!!!

So was Reuel Moses' father in law or grand father in law? And was Hobab the father in law of moses or brother in law of Moses?? You choose....

Rebecca the 10 year old bride!

Whenever I  across a Christian who acts like he's an expert on the bible. I simply ask him how well versed are you with the Hebrew bible and what type of method do you use to interpret the texts which your not sure about. 9 out of 10 admit they don't know Hebrew which is highly unsual for them as they are known for lying their way out when they get corned, but hey at least they've admitted to something.

Now that we've established that most Christians do not know Hebrew nor have that understanding on how to interpret the Hebrew texts. I would like to focus on a specific topic which Christian are unaware of. The Age of Rebecca when she got Married to Isaac?.

This subject has been discussed by many Christians mainly low level apologist who again have no idea of the Hebrew language and tried using their own interpretations which only backfired on them. The most obvious argument they make is the bible does not tell us Rebecca's Age at all you won't find it anywhere. Seems like a valid argument that's only if you read the English translation you won't find the age of Rebecca, but does this apply with the Hebrew text and the Answer is No. Before we get into the actual age given in the Hebrew bible I would like to show how certain words can give us a full picture of what the subject is for example :

A baby is not an infant nor is an infant an adolescent nor is an adolescent a teenager nor is a teenager and old man or women. Each word gives a picture of who we are referring to the words are only meant for that specific person. Each word will only fit that age. Just like me say he is an old man I'm not speaking of a baby or an infant or even a teenager rather I'm specifying who and what age the person fits in just by using this specific word which is only meant for that age category. This also applies for Arabic and Hebrew texts certain words would only apply on Specific object or subject. Now let's read from the book of Genesis and show old old was Rebecca.

------------------

Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham's brother Nahor. And the girl was very beautiful, a virgin, and no man had had relations with her; and she went down to the spring and filled her jar, and came up.
(Genesis 24:15-16)

Just to have a little background info on the above passage The beginning of chapter 24 you'll read that Abraham was old and asked his servant to go find his son Isaac a Wife. So his servant who made an oath to find Isaac a wife set off on his he came to a water well where he found Rebecca. The interesting part comes when we read verse 15 :

"And the girl was very beautiful, a virgin, and no man had had relations with her; and she went down to the spring and filled her jar, and came up." Verse 15. The question is was Rebecca really a girl as the bible states if so how Old? The Hebrew text gives us the answer.

The Hebrew text used for girl is NAAR! Now this word NAAR in Hebrew means child of 10 years or less

Encyclopedia of Jewish Medical Ethics defines the word as someone who is a “minor”, “very young person, including a baby”:
MINOR*
A. DEFINITION OF THE TERM
Katan (minor) and yeled (child are Hebrew terms used interchangeable. The term yeled in the Bible is used for a human being from birth through adulthood, including an infant (tinok), a lad (NAAR), a youth (elem), and even a fetus (ubar). The term Katan refers to a very young person, particularly when compared to an older person. In Jewish law, the term Katan distinguishes a minor from an adult with regard to legal rights and responsibilities. The Halakhic age of a katan is defined differently in accordance with specific laws.
The word naar refers to a VERY YOUNG PERSON, INCLUDING A BABY. The word is also used to denote a maid or servant.” (Encyclopedia of Jewish Medical Ethics: A compilation of Jewish medical law on all topics of medical interest, from the most ancient sources to the most current deliberations and decisions, with a concise medical and historical background, and a comprehensive analysis of relevant general ethical approaches [Translated by Fred Rosner, M. D., An updated and edited English version of the Hebrew 1998/ 1988, edition 2003] compiled and written by Avraham Steinberg, M.D., volume 1, page 679)
scholars Johann Buxtorf and Franz Delitzsch write on the word Na’ar:
“2. N’r II. Johann Buxtorf connects na’ar with n’r II, ‘shake off.’ A na’ar is a ‘LITTLE BOY, AN INFANT,’ IN THAT HE HAS BEEN ‘FORCED OUT OF HIS MOTHER’S WOMB.’ Franz Delitzsch takes as his starting point the striking use of n’r in the Pentateuch to refer to a FEMALE, concluding that ‘originally it denoted a NEW-BORN INFANT OF EITHER SEX,’ since it ‘is an ancient derived noun with the meaning ‘shaking off, bringing forth’ (cf. Job 39:3), concretely: that which has been brought forth, offspring.’” (9. F. Delitzsch, ‘Pentateuch-Kritisce Studien. VIII, ‘Seitschrift fur Wissenschaft und Kirkliches Leben, 1 (1880), 393-99.) (Theological Dictionary of the Old Testament, by (edited) G. Johannes Botterweck, Helmer Ringgren and Heinz-Jozef Fabry, [William B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, Grand Rapids, Michigan, U.K., translated by David E. Green, 1998], Volume 9, page 475)
A complete Hebrew and English critical and pronouncing dictionary:
נַעֲרָ na’ar. … A lad, youth, son, a young servant, an INFANT, or NEW-BORN BABE, because just liberated from the womb. Jud. 13:17. Exod. 2:6. נַעֲרָ (na’ar) pt. נַעֲרָ, pt. p. …, to shake, to stir; to shake out. – Ni. … fut. …, to share oneself free from, to get rid of; to be shaken off. – Pi. …, fut., to shake, push, drive away. – Hith. … to shake oneself from. נַעֲרָ (na’ar) m, w.s. … pl. …, c. …, CHILD, boy, youth; servant; male; maid, GIRL.” (A Complete Hebrew-English Pocket-Dictionary to the Old Testament, [Third edition, Berlin – Schoneberg (Prof. G. Langenscheidt), Langenscheidtsche Verlagsbuchhandlung, London, W. C. H. Grevel & Co. New York, The International News company – Johannesburg: Hermann Michaelis, third edition] by Professor Karl Feyerabend, Ph, D. page 218 – 219)

We also read Rebecca had her own NURSE, its so obvious why she had a NURSE because she was a little girl!

Send me away that I may go to my master." And they said, "We will call the girl and consult her wishes." Then they called Rebekah and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" And she said, "I will go. Thus they sent away their sister Rebekah and her nurse with Abraham's servant and his men (Genesis 24:57:59)

--------------------

Here's more evidence from the bible that NAAR means baby or up to 10 years old.

When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby (NAAR) was crying. She took pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”(Exodus 2:6)

Moses answered, "We will go with our young (NAAR) and our old, with our sons and our daughters, and with our flocks and herds, because we are to celebrate a festival to the LORD." (Exodus 10:9)

Turning to Jether, his oldest son, he said, "Kill them!" But Jether did not draw his sword, because he was only a boy (NAAR) and was afraid. (Judges 8:20)

Then Manoah prayed to the LORD and said, “O Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we are to do with the child (NAAR) who will be born.” (Judges 13:8)

Then the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson; and the child (NAAR) grew up and the LORD blessed him. (Judges 13:24)

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and she brought him to the house of the LORD at Shiloh. And the child was young(NAAR). (1 Samuel 1:24)

"Start running," he told the boy, "so you can find the arrows as I shoot them." So the boy (NAAR) ran, and Jonathan shot an arrow beyond him. (1 Samuels 20:36)

David pleaded with God for the child (NAAR). He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground. (2 Samuel 12:16)

Hadad fled to Egypt, along with some Edomites from his father's servants. At the time Hadad was a small boy (NAAR). (1 kings 11:17)

young men and women, old men and children (NAAR). (Psalm 148:12)

----------------------

Even the book of Jasher confirms Rebecca was 10 years old. Note Joshua 10:13 speaks of the book of Jasher as a book of Authority to confirm the sun standing still

(THE BOOK OF JASHAR 24:37-45)
37. And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Eliezer, for the sake of his servant Abraham, and he happened to meet with the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, brother to Abraham, and Eliezer came to her house.
38. And Eliezer related to them all his concerns, and that he was Abraham’s servant, and they greatly rejoiced at him.
39. And they all blessed the Lord who brought this about, and they gave him, Rebecca, the daughter of Bethuel, for a wife for Isaac.
40. And the young woman was of very comely appearance, she was a virgin, and Rebecca was ten years old in those days.
41. And Bethuel and Laban and his children made a feast on that night, and Eliezer and his men came and ate and drank and rejoiced there on that night.
42. And Eliezer rose up in the morning, he and the men that were with him, and he called to the whole household of Bethuel, saying, send me away that I may go to my master; and they rose up and sent away Rebecca and her nurse Deborah, the daughter if UZ and they gave her silver and gold , men servants and maid servants, and they blessed her.
43. And they sent Eliezer away with his men; and the servants took Rebecca, and he went and returned to his master to the land of Canaan.
44. And Isaac took Rebecca and she became his wife, and he brought her into the tent.
45. And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca, the daughter of his uncle Bethuel, for a wife.

We can now conclude with utmost certainty that Rebecca was 10 years old when she Married Isaac.

Did Jesus of the bible wear woman's garment? ( bible says yes)

It's amazing how Christians deceive and mislead  each other intentionally just for the sake of fame! Rather then being honest and sincere they lie to their own brothers in faith. A perfect example is the lie and allegation made  about Prophet Muhammed Pbuh wearing woman's garment  ثَوْبِ (THAWB). This is one brutal ludicrous lie made by david wood and what's worse he's passed this dirty lie to his fellow Christian brothers deceiving them to believe him Below This lie shall be destroyed!.

First of all the word  ثَوْبِ (THAWB) in Arabic does not mean women's garment rather it means PIECE OF CLOTH. It's absolutely insane to believe THAWB means Woman's garment, of not worse believing in  David wood who doesn't know a shred Arabic!

ثَوْبِ, A garment, (M. Mgh, Msb, K,) [or PIECE OF CLOTH of cloth] … Es-Sarakhsee uses the phrase … (thiyaab). Mh) … [He clung to the CURTAINS of the House of God], i.e., to the curtains of the Kaabeh… (A.) – Sometimes, ثَوْبِ, is used metonymically to signify A thing [of any kind] that veils, covers, or protects.”(Edward William Lane’s Arabic-English Lexicon (Dictionary) volume 1, page 362)

From Al-Andalus to Khurasan: Documents from the Medieval Muslim World:

“The price depended on the quality of the textile and the kind of clothing purchased. Three PIECES OF CLOTH (THAWB) were brought for 20 1/3 dirhams (P. Marchands III 43.3); four pieces (THAWB) for 21 qirat (P. Marchands III 41.9-10); a PIECE OF COTTON CLOTH (AL-THAWB al-qutn) for 14 ½ dirhams (P.Marchands III 36. 12-13)…” (From Al-Andalus to Khurasan: Documents from the Medieval Muslim World [Brill, Leiden, Boston, 2007] by Petra Sijpesteijn and Lennart Sundelin page 157)
Al-Mawrid, Modern Arabic-English Dictionary:
“garment; dress, robe, gown; suit, costume, CLOTH, ثَوْبِ, FABRIC, MATERIAL, garb, cloak…” (Al-Mawrid, Modern Arabic-English dictionary, by Rohi Baalbaki, Lebanon (1995) Page 404)
William Thomson Wortabet – Arabic-English Dictionary:
“ثَوْبِ, garment, CLOTH. Actions, deeds…” (Arabic-English dictionary by William Thomson Wortabet, John Wortabet, Harvey Porter (1984) Page 59)
English-Arabic Vocabulary:
CLOTH.
-, Cotton
– in piece. ثَوْبِ.
– Tracing. (English-Arabic vocabulary for the use of officials in the Anglo-Egyptian Sudan, by Captain Harold Amery (1905) page 71)
The following report also tell us that thawb just means a cloth or sheet one can wrap himself/herself in:
“Ibn ‘Umar reported the Messenger of Allah as saying, or reported ‘Umar as saying: if one of you has two (piece of) CLOTH, he should pray in them; if he has a single (piece of) CLOTH, he should use it as a WRAPPER, and should not hang it upon the shoulder…

----------------------

But even for arguments sake if we took the word THAWB to be woman's garment as David wood claims! Then he's in a a lot of trouble when we use his own bible against him.

Take for example this verse taken from gospel of Mark 5 verse 27
"She had heard the reports about Jesus and came up behind him in the crowd and touched his GARMENT." The Arabic bible uses the word  ثوبه (THAWB) so using David woods understanding of the word (THAWB ثوبه) as found in the Arabic bible we can conclude Jesus was wearing a WOMAN'S GARMENT walking in the midst of people!.

Next verse taken from the gospel John 13 verse 4
"He riseth from supper, and laid aside his GARMENTS; and took a towel, and girded himself." The Arabic bible uses the word  ثوبه (THAWB) again if we was going to use the same method as David wood did with the Arabic word  ثوبه (THAWB) then we have to conclude that before washing his disciples feet Jesus TOOK OF HIS WOMAN'S GARMENT!

Another explicit statement is found in Mark 2 verse 21
"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. The Arabic bible uses the word  ثوبه (THAWB) once again we if was going to use David woods pathetic missionary twist then we can conclude Jesus was talking about WOMAN'S GARMENT!

There are many more verses found in the Arabic bible where ثوبه (THAWB) is found no doubt the Arabic word for THAWB means Cloth, garment ..... No woman's garment unless we use David woods translation which would mean Jesus of the bible wore woman's garment.!

bible allows the rapist to marry his victim!

If a man rapes a 12 year old he gets to marry her providing he pays 50 shekels to the father!

--------------

This disturbing command is found in the book of Deuteronomy also known as the Torah which Jews and Christian revere.

Now if you read the english translation of this verse you've never find 12 year old in it, Rather you'll find "a virgin" or a Virgin women'. This is a gross mistranslation of the Hebrew text the actual meaning can be found only when you read the Hebrew text and translate it accurately. One may wonder why wouldn't the KJV or any english translators not accurately translate it when over verses or passages are correct?

The only reason for that is EMBARRASSMENT, if they accurately translates this verse then the bible will be exposed for its mistreatment towards young girls. Just for the records there are many many other verses which haven't been accurately translates deliberately due to the same reason. Let use expose this verse and show how  a 12 year old girl if raped gets to marry het rapist.

"If a man finds a girl who is a virgin, who is not engaged, and seizes her and lies with her and they are discovered, then the man who lay with her shall give to the girl's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall become his wife because he has violated her; he cannot divorce her all his days.(Deuteronomy 22:28-29)

---------------

The above passage in Hebrew clearly  says  if a man rapes a 12 year old girl. How do we know that because  The Hebrew text used for girl is   נַעֲרָה  naarah (nah-ar-aw'). The word naara means up to 12 years old below are confirmation by biblical scholars :

Cornelia B. Horn Professor of early Christianity, and John W. Martens professor of theology at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota:
“The dividing line for the marriage of girls becomes clearer in m. Yebamoth 6:10. That passage states that a High Priest was not to marry a bogeret (a girl who had reached the age of maturity), but only one younger than that. The bogeret, defined by commentators as a girl of twelve and a half years of age, was set apart in m. Ketuboth 3:8 from the Katanah (less than twelve years and a day) and the na’arah (a girl twelve years and a day). M. Niddah 5:7 schematizes the stages of a girl’s life in much the same manner. The stages of childhood are compared to three stages of the ripening process of a fig. The Mishnah distinguishes between an undeveloped fig, corresponding to the yaldut, the period from three to twelve years; a ripening fig, which indicates THE NA’ARAH, WHO IS NO OLDER THAN TWELVE YEARS AND A DAY; and the ripe fig, representing the bogeret, who is no older than twelve and a half years. These ages are clearly associated with physical sexual maturity, and the concern over what constitutes a ‘pure’ marriage for different groups in Judaism, principally along the line of division between priest or Levite and layman.” (“Let the Children Come To Me”, Childhood and Children in Early Christianity [The Catholic University of America Press, Washington, D.C., 2009] by Cornelia B. Horn and John W. Martens, page 11)

Mary F. Foskett Wake Forest Kahle Professor of Religion, her studies are the New Testament, she says the word ‘Na’arah’ refers to someone who is twelve and a half years old:
“Prescriptions concerning bride-price reveal that virgin females were afforded a higher value than females who were presumed to be sexually experienced. They also provide us with a glimpse of how the Mishnah often understands the place of minor daughters. According to M. Nid. 5/7 and M. Qid. 2.1, a father can claim the fruit of his minor daughter’s labor, annul her vows, and arrange her marriage.
Upon reaching the age of twelve and one-half, however, a daughter no longer remains subject to her father’s dominion (M. Nid. 5.7). She either passes the jurisdiction of her betrothed (or spouse) gains legal autonomy. Given the norm of marriage that permeates the Mishnah, the latter case was likely expected to remain in the minority. Ideally, minor daughters were both constrained by patriarchal authority and attributed sexual and reproductive power. As Wegner observes,
‘the young girl possesses one salient characteristic: she is a sexual chattel. Nearly all references to the girl-child under twelve (qetannah) or THE PUBESCENT GIRL BETWEEN TWELVE AND TWELVE AND ONE-HALF YEARS (NAARAH) – unlike references to minor sons- speak directly or indirectly of her sexuality, with particular emphasis on her virginity.’” (A Virgin Conceived: Mary and Classical Representations of Virginity [Indian University Press, Bloomington & Indianapolis, 2002] by Mary F. Foskett page 48)

Professor Rachel Adler:
“During this period, all marriages of young girls were arranged by a father or a guardian. Our Mishnah applies to girls in the category of qetanah, a minor under the age of twelve, or in the CATEGORY OF NA’ARAH, BETWEEN TWELVE AND TWELVE-AND-A-HALF YEARS, WHEN THEY ARE PRESUMED TO BE ENTERING puberty. This period seems to have been when most girls were married. A young woman over twelve-and-a-half, a bogeret, had to consent to the marriage and herself received the espousal money and the monetary settelement in her Ketubah in the event of divorce or the husband’s death. Because a qetana or a na’arah would, most likely, have returned to her father’s house, he received the Ketubah money. If married as a qetana or na’arah, but adult at the time of divorce or the husband’s death, she received the sum herself.” (Islamic and Jewish Legal Reasoning: Encountering Our Legal Other [edited by Anver Emon, 2016] by Rachel Adler, page 40)
Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rubin:
“The Talmud (Yoma 2a) notes that the Kohen gadol would take a new wife before beginning the Yom Kippur service so that he might fulfill the obligation of achieving atonement for his household. Rav Yaakov Meir Biderman, son-in-law of the Sfas Emes, poses the following question. One one hand, we find (Yevamos 59a) an opinion that maintains that the Kohen gadol could marry only a NA’ARAH [A GIRL BETWEEN THE AGES OF TWELVE AND TWELVE AND A HALF]. On the other hand, we find (Shabbos 89b) that a girl under the age of twenty is not considered to punishable. How was it possible for the Kohen gadol to atone for someone who was not culpable.” (Talelei Oros: The Parashah Anthology – Vayikra / Leviticus, selected and compiled by Rabbi Yissachar Dov Rubin [Adapted into English by Rabbi David Landesman, 1997], page 178)
And:
NA’ARAH
A girl between the ages of twelve years and one day and twelve and a half years plus one day.” (The Gospel of the Nazirenes [B’nai Ysrael Ha’Derech, Netzari Faith, 2015] by Rav Yaakov Bar Yosef

Professor Judith Romney Wegner:
“12. Mishnaic law, ‘adult daughter’ (bogeret) means one who has reached the age of twelve-and-a-half years and a day. Between the AGES OF TWELVE AND TWELVE-AND-A-HALF she is a ‘maiden’ (NA’ARAH), liable to keep precepts of Torah but not yet emancipated. Unless married off by her father during this six-month period (as normally happens), she will acquire full autonomy at the end of it.” (Jewish Women in Historical Perspective [Second edition: Wayne State University Press, Detroit, 1998] by Judith Romney Wegner, page 95)
Anglican Priest Herbert Danby:
“1. Cf. Arak. 3:4.
2.Cf. B. K. 8:1.
3. The fifty shekels enjoined in Deut. 22:29.
4. Less than twelve years old.
5. Her father may sell her as a slave.
6. By her violator or seducer.
7. Heb. NAARAH, AGED TWELVE TO TWELVE AND A HALF.
8. Heb. Bogereth, more than twelve and a half.” (The Mishnah: Translated from the Hebrew with Introduction and Brief Explanatory Notes [Hendrickson Publishers Marketing, LLC, 2011] by Herbert Danby, page 249)

Sufficient evidence prove that naara means 12 years. How do Christians swallow this !

Thanks to Kaleef K. Karim for his research and reference from discover the truth

Interesting, the reading for Deuteronomy 22:28 in the manuscript has a different reading to what you find in the printed text.

The text in Leningrad Codex Folio 112v reads as "if a man finds a 'boy' who is a virgin" the Hebrew reads "naar" boy (masculine) not "naar'ah" female (feminine). What is the text trying to say? Is it promoting homosexuality?

Either way the rapist wins. Exodus 22:15-16 gives a ruling to the rapist same as Deuteronomy 22:28-29, this time with a slight leniency. In Exodus, the father decides whether he should marry his daughter to him, but still has to pay 50 shekels. in Deuteronomy he has to marry her. The only difference between the two ruling is, one you marry her the other the father decides whether you marry her or not. It's monetary charge imposed upon the individual who is charged for rape.
