Yahweh commands stones as part of gifts

The Sacred Tent

1 The Lord said to Moses:
2 Tell everyone in Israel who wants to give gifts that they must bring them to you.
3 Here is a list of what you are to collect: Gold, silver, and bronze;
4 blue, purple, and red wool; fine linen; goat hair;
5 tanned ram skins; fine leather; acacia wood;
6 olive oil for the lamp; sweet-smelling spices to mix with the oil for dedicating the tent and ordaining the priests;
7 and onyx stones for the sacred vest and the breastpiece.
8 I also want them to build a special place where I can live among my people.
9 Make it and its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
(Exodus 25:1-9)

-------------------

Take notice on verse 7 (and onyx stones for the sacred vest and the breastpiece.)
ONXY STONES!!!!

One wonders why Christians say Muslims worship black stone where in reality Muslims do not worship the black Stone. For us Muslims it's a Sacred Stone sent from heaven. And here we read from the very bible Christians cherish the ONXY stone must be used for the Sacred vest and breastpiece. Below we read Jacob using a rock to worship Yahweh?......

When Jacob got up early the next morning, he took the rock that he had used for a pillow and stood it up for a place of worship. Then he poured olive oil on the rock to dedicate it to God,
(Genesis 28:18 )

Sacrifice?

How can Jesus have sacrificed himself when God raised him back to life again? Let's examine this claim, Sacrificing something or someone only happens when you want something back in return? If God sacrificed himself what did he get in return when he already owns EVERYTHING? What could god possibly gain from sacrificing  himself when he Owns everything and do what he likes whenever he wants? What good will that do to him?

----------------

What does sacrifice mean?

sacrifice
ˈsakrɪfʌɪs/
noun
  1. 1
an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to a deity.
"they offer sacrifices to the spirits"
    synonyms:ritual slaughter, hecatomb, immolation, offeringoblation

    ----------------

So God sacrificed himself to himself in order to forgive mankind from a sin which he created himself? And how can you say God sacrificed himself or his son whichever way you see it, when he brought himself or his son back to life again which means there was no sacrifice and nothing was lost ? It's like giving away your old car knowing you have a new one?

Thus Jesus could not have Sacrificed himself when he was brought back to life.. In reality Nothing was lost? So where's the sacrifice

The tradition of sacrifice is not that after a animal  is slaughtered it is raised back to life again, then the whole purpose of sacrifice is meaningless.

How can Jesus be a sacrifice when he was brought back to life again? Since when did the Jews sacrifice animals in the temple they took, saw them come back to life again? The entire sacrifice will have no meaning. A sacrifice is made to receive something in return so, your sacrifice is gone or given away not to return.

If Jesus came back to life after sacrificing himself that is according to Christians, than wheres the sacrifice if nothing is lost? So, in reality nothing was given up nor any sacrifice made.

That's whole point of giving a life i.e. animal for sacrifice. Christians claim God gave his son to redeem the sins of mankind as the perfect sacrifice, yet this son was brought life back so, how is it a sacrifice when the whole point is to give up this life?

Makes no sense Christians claiming a sacrifice was made.

    Leviticus 17:11 use on alter
    Leviticus 1:2
    Leviticus 5:11

Jonah 3:7-10 sins forgiven for Ninevites

    Numbers 16:47  no blood needed

    Numbers 31:50  no blood needed

Isaiah 6:6-7 sins purged.  Fire stops bleeding

Leviticus 4: 1-2 blood sacrifice done through unintentional sin no intentional.

Pre meditated sin wont for sins. Blood sacrifice is for accidental sin.

    Numbers 15:30-31 sin on him

Numbers 5:6-7  sin on him and no blood sacrifice.  Confess the sin you have done.

Jeremiah 7:22-23 Yahweh said he never commanded blood sacrifice

Where does Yahweh say to do a blood sacrifice

Leviticus 1:1-2 the word used is "IF" not that yahweh commanded them to

Leviticus 4:32 sin offering lamb must be a female. Jesus was a male. Jesus of the bible was scorged and beaten so he wasn't blemish. Crown of thorns bleeds. Lamb doesn't know how to sin. Without blemish does not mean without  sin. Without blemish means no problem with your skin.

    1 he was human
2 he was male not female
    3 he was not blemish

Deuteronomy 12:30-31  following. Jews wanna follow the pagans after being saved. Human sacrifice is an abomination something he hates.

Jeremiah 19:4-6 human sacrifice was not commanded

    ------------

    No sacrifice / statue

Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. Jeremiah 7:21-22

The showed gratitude by giving an offering not tat God asked them too. The command always starts with “If” you are to bring a offering, not that you must bring an offering.

No, God does not desire animal sacrifices.

The book of Psalms is the first book of the Bible to claim that God does not desire animal sacrifices.

Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire. Psalm 40:6

Will I eat of the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Psalm 50:13

For thou desirest not sacrifice ... thou delightest not in burnt offerings. Psalm 51:16

Some prophets make the same claim.

I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. Isaiah 1:11

He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man. Isaiah 66:3

Your burnt offerings are not acceptable, nor your sacrifices sweet unto me. Jeremiah 6:20

Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices. Jeremiah 7:21-22

For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6

Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams? Micah 6:6-7

And then Jesus says the same thing a couple of times (quoting Hosea).

I will have mercy, and not sacrifice. Matthew 9:1312:7

Child sacrifice was commanded of the Israelites by Yahweh, the biblical God.

You shall not delay to offer from the fulness of your harvest and from the outflow of your presses. The first-born of your sons you shall give to me. You shall do likewise with your oxen and with your sheep: seven days it shall be with its dam; on the eighth day you shall give it to me. (Exodus 22:29-30)

The context of this passage concerns offerings and sacrifices, and it says God requires firstborn sons to be literally sacrificed to him. Later on we find Yahweh admitting he commanded this to Ezekiel

Moreover I gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not have life; and I defiled them through their very gifts in making them offer by fire all their first-born, that I might horrify them; I did it that they might know that I am the LORD (Yahweh). (Ezekiel 20:25-26)

Disturbing how Yahweh intentionally played with the Israelites to teach them a lesson, later admitting why did he did it.This again goes back to Ezekiel where Yahweh testifies he is a deceiver.

"If any prophets are DECEIVED into giving a false answer, it is because I, the LORD, have DECEIVED them... (Ezekiel 14:9)

In other words Yahweh deceived Moses the Prophet of the Jews and later tried to justify his deeds to what he did to his people. Interesting how Yahweh told Ezekiel of his evil scheme. could it be the later Jews were questioning child sacrifice to Yahweh?

    Satan has an upper hand!

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment. (2 peter 2:4)

    ------------------

Who are these Angels that sinned  that God didn't spare and threw them in Hell?

Here's the dilemma if God can throw Angels who sinned in hell, and leave them there till the day of judgement why is Satan still roaming on earth? Is Satan not an Angel according to the bible? Did Satan not sin when he disobeyed God and made Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit. What could be more worse then that. Why is Satan exempted from being thrown in hell like the rest of the Angels?

If it wasn't for Satan in the first place then those Angels would not have sinned by coming to earth and having sex with women's.. But how did those Angels sin when they married the women's they had sex with on earth?

When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. (Genesis 6:1-2)

Not like the Angels committed fornication? They liked what they saw I.e the daughters of men's on earth and Married them had sexual intimacy with their wives so how is that a sin? It doesn't makes sense you getting punished for having sex with your wife, whilst  the real culprit that is Satan goes scoot free for not only disobeying God but causing man to astray using deception.

Seems like Yahweh has given Satan special privileges where he can even go stand in from of God himself incite him and walk away.

Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason." (Job 2:3)

Notice from the above verse Yahweh admits SATAN INCITED HIM!!! Can you imagine Satan didnt even leave Yahweh alone. He temps jesus and incites yahweh and makes job suffer yet Yahweh does not throw him in hell like he did to the other Angels? Also this Satan is the God of this world!.

Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. (2 Corinthians 4:4)

How ironic this Satan who is Evil, Deceptive, Corrupted is labeled as the God of the earth. Yet in the other hand the Angels who Married the woman's on earth and had Sex Legally and Condemned and thrown into Hell?

    You call this justice!!!!!!

The Book of Esther is not historical rather is a work of fiction!.

How absurd a book inspired by God does not mention his name even Once!

The Book of Esther is supposed to be an inspired book. Yet In the entire book of Esther there is no mention of God. Not only does it not mention God once, it never mentions prayer to God or thanksgiving for deliverance how comes? It is a completely and brutally materialistic story of murder and robbery. How did this ever have into our Bible? According to the Jewish encyclopaedia the book

    ----------------

As to the historical value of the foregoing data, opinions differ. Comparatively few modern scholars of note consider the narrative of Esther to rest on an historical foundation. The most important names among the more recent defenders of the historicity of the book are perhaps Hävernick, Keil, Oppert, and Orelli. The vast majority of modern expositors have reached the conclusionthat the book is a piece of pure fiction, although some writers qualify their criticism by an attempt to treat it as a historical romance. The following are the chief arguments showing the impossibility of the story of Esther:

In view of all the evidence the authority of the Book of Esther as a historical record must be definitely rejected. Its position in the canon among the Hagiographa or "Ketubim" is the only thing which has induced Orthodox scholars to defend its historical character at all. Even the Jews of the first and second centuries of the common era questioned its right to be included among the canonical books of the Bible (compare Meg. 7a). The author makes no mention whatever of God, to whom, in all the other books of the Old Testament, the deliverance of Israel is ascribed. The only allusion in Esther to religion is the mention of fasting (iv. 16, ix. 31). All this agrees with the theory of a late origin for the book, as it is known, for example, from Ecclesiastes, that the religious spirit had degenerated even in Judea in the Greek period, to which Esther, like Daniel, in all probability belongs.

Esther could hardly have been written by a contemporary of the Persian empire, because (1) of the exaggerated way in which not only the splendor of the court, but all the events described, are treated (compare the twelve months spent by the maidens in adorning themselves for the king; the feasts of 187 days, etc., all of which point rather to the past than to a contemporary state of affairs); (2) the uncomplimentary details given about a great Persian king, who is mentioned by name, would not have appeared during his dynasty.

It is difficult to go so far as Grätz, who assignsEsther to an adherent of the Maccabean party in the reign of Antiochus Epiphanes. The vast difference in religious and moral tone between Esther and Daniel—the latter a true product of Antiochus' reign—seems to make such a theory impossible. Nor is the view of Jensen, followed by Nöldeke, more convincing to the unprejudiced mind. He endeavors to prove that the origin of the whole story lies in a Babylonian-Elamitic myth. He identifies Esther with the Babylonian goddess Ishtar (Aphrodite); Mordecai with Marduk, the tutelary deity of Babylon; and Haman with Hamman or Humman, the chief god of the Elamites, in whose capital, Susa, the scene is laid; while Vashti is also supposed to be an Elamite deity. Jensen considers that the Feast of Purim, which is the climax of the book, may have been adapted from a similar Babylonian festival by the Jews, who Hebraized the original Babylonian legend regarding the origin of the ceremonies. The great objection to such a theory is that no Babylonian festival corresponding with the full moon of the twelfth month is known.

The object of Esther is undoubtedly to give an explanation of and to exalt the Feast of Purim, of whose real origin little or nothing is known.

can Christians prove the book of Esther was inspired by God and not Satan? Would Satan mention God's name no?

    Double standards..........

Christians should swallow what Judaic commentators say.... Since you all love running to TAFSIR! -------------
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon man, and he slept, and He took one of his sides, and He closed the flesh in its place.(Genesis 2:21-------Rashis commentary.....and he slept, and He took: So that he should not see the piece of flesh from which she was created, lest she be repulsive to him (Sanhedrin 39)
so adam would of been disgusted to see his wife? Yet below we read this same man committed beastly with all animals ( how sick)
The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man."

    (Genesis 2:23)
    --------------------------------

    Commentary from talmud

    R. Eleazar further stated: What is meant by the Scriptural text, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh?13  This teaches that Adam had intercourse with every beast and animal but found no satisfaction until he cohabited with Eve.
    (Yebamoth 63a)

(Adam had sexual intercourse with all the animals in the Garden of Eden.)

    Guide To Missionary Tactics

This guide is intended to improve awareness about the tactics used by some groups and cults. The tactics of missionaries and missionary groups may vary, but there are some basic guidelines to keep in mind that will be helpful in dealing with them

    HIDDEN AGENDA

Some missionaries attempt to develop a rapport with their subject without divulging their own religious affiliation or intention. As an example to make making them seem less "Christian" missionaries are coached by their superiors to avoid using words such as "Christ" or "savior" or "baptize".

If you are not sure about the religious identity of the stranger who begins talking to you about religion, ask him directly about his beliefs and agenda. Be suspicious of an indirect answer. Remember these people aren't interested in dialogue or trying to improve Anglo-Muslim links but are often in SECURE PAID EMPLOYMENT to Sell Christianity.

    CREATING DOUBT

When talking to a Muslim about religion, a missionary may attempt to elicit as many "I don't know" responses as possible, in order to establish his superiority in matters of religion. Don't allow yourself to be intimidated!

Remember, the missionary has studied Islamic beliefs for the sole purpose to sell Christianity to Muslims. There heart are sealed and they are no longer interested in truth. Keep in mind that he is not speaking to you in order to exchange ideas, but rather to create as much doubt in your mind and lead you away from your faith. If you want to learn more about the Quran, do so from someone who doesn't have hidden motives. Therefore, feel free to simply end the conversation and walk away.

Remember that many of these questions and associations they are trying to sell have been debunked many times by more learned Muslims. If they were interested in dialogue the would be speaking to respected elders and community leaders exploring common ground improving understanding and faith in the community, but all one sees are the often the same question again to unsuspecting victims. Ask yourself what do they hope to gain ?

However, some of you may want to listen to their arguments and then learn the Muslim response, in order to be better prepared for future encounters. One must also remember that many missionaries intentionally go into Muslim areas in Britain so they train themselves and create the most seductive "Sales Pitch" they can manage. Once they have finished there training in salesmanship they will target unsuspecting Muslims (the lonely, vulnerable and weak) lacking in knowledge.

The following pointers should give you a basic idea of what to look for.

    DECEPTION

The missionary may tell you that he (or a Christian friend or acquaintance) was once an Muslim, or that he had a solid Muslim education, a traditional Muslim family life, etc. This is almost always a lie, so don't let him fool you. The hidden message that he is attempting to convey is that he came to accept Christianity after knowing and overcoming all of the Muslim objections (Jesus being son of god, Bible being corrupted by man etc.), and therefore, why should you bother to check it out?
He may drop certain Islamic phrases or talk about the details of his "traditional" Muslim upbringing, in order to lend more credence to his story. In fact, his "memory" is often the result of careful coaching.
The missionary might tell you that he knows the Islamic objections to his arguments, and will then proceed to show how such objectives are ill-founded. Don't expect to hear the real Islamic response from such a source.

    GOOD, BAD OR UGLY

Don't be taken in by the "good cop - bad cop" routine. This routine involves a "bad cop" who threatens the subject, and a "good cop" who protects him from the "bad cop". The subject is so grateful to the "good cop", and so worried about losing the good-will of his protector, that he invariably shows his appreciation by telling the "good cop" what he wants to hear. In similar fashion, the "good" Christian talks about how much he loves and respects Muslims, while denouncing the "bad" Christians who hate and have persecuted Muslims. The naive and ones lacking in knowledge of Christian history and bigotry will feel grateful to the "good cop", and may automatically judge him to be a friend and reliable ally. Watch out for hidden motives behind such "friendship".

WHO BELIEVES IN THE SON OF GOD?

At the outset, the missionary will talk about his belief that Jesus is the messiah. Many Muslims don't find out until later, often after they have joined a Christian friendship group, that their fundamental belief is that Jesus is god. Any talk about "the messiah" or "son of god" is merely a cover for that belief, basic to Christianity . However, since such a concept is repugnant in Islam, this most basic belief of Christianity is glossed over as much as possible when missionaries talk to Muslims.

    PROOF Or SPOOF?

Don't be impressed by the claim that Christians have 50, or 100, or 300 "proofs" that they are correct in their claims about Jesus. As proof after proof is shown to be meaningless, the missionary will hide behind his numbers, as if to say: "Well, we have so many more proofs, what's the difference if you can disprove some of them". He will attempt to "split the difference" with you: "Well, even if half our proofs prove nothing, we still have another 25 or 50, or 150". Remember, all of their proofs can be shown to be untenable. Keep in mind that a faulty point is not worth 50% of a good point, or 25%, or 10%. It is worthless. The simple mathematics are: 50 x 0 = 0, 100 x 0 = 0, 300 x 0 = 0.

    CIRCULAR REASONING

Very often, the reasoning used by Christian missionaries is circular. That is, the "proof" only points to something is if you believe it in the first place, and therefore is no proof at all.

    MISTRANSLATION

Be aware of the problem of mistranslating. A person who is not familiar with Arabic can be lead to accept a mistranslating which puts a Christian "twist" on a verse that never had such a meaning in the original. If you can't check it out yourself, talk to a reliable person who can. Remember, it is no coincidence that the Muslims of past generations, who were much better versed in the Arabic, never had any serious problems refuting Christian missionary arguments.

In addition beware of Christian Translations of the Quran, many date from sixteenth to the eighteenth century with the sole intention of to discredit Islam.

Please keep in mind ANY translation (interpretation) of the Quran will most definitely contain errors In its natural language (Arabic), the Quran is the direct Word of Allah (God) to mankind through the prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him). Any translation of the Quran no longer retains that 'official' and perfect status, however it can be tremendously helpful to beginning students wanting to learn more about Islam.

We would strongly encourage those want to learn about Islam to purchase a copy of the Quran but with the following conditions:
+ get one with commentary (tafseer)
+ make sure the tafseer is scholarly (e.g. references to reasons behind a verse, references to hadith and sunnah etc.)

    QUOTING OUT OF CONTEXT

Often a verse will be quoted to you that has been taken entirely out of context. When the entire chapter that contains that verse is read, it becomes clear that it does not corroborate the Missionary.

Conclusion : Selling Timeshare or Christshare?
You may recognize many of the tactics used by some Missionaries in selling there faith as they have similarities to disreputable Timeshare and Double glazing salesman, and this raises some interesting points:

Why would one propagate faith in such a deceitful and underhanded way, is it because:

God will not aid ones seeking the true path?

A bad product is difficult to sell unless you dupe someone?

If you are genuinely interested in faith

Why don't you go ask someone with a sound knowledge and understanding of Islam, instead of targeting the naive, vulnerable and the weak.

Why do you seek out the naive and week and then intentionally ask Mischievous questions, when they have been answered many times by learned scholars and by people that you have approached over the years? Surely this does not add to knowledge or understanding.

    Why do you target Muslims

Considering the moral depravity often in your own family and neighbourhood and within so called Christians.

Is it because Muslims are wealthy in faith?

Is it because you have so much hatred for us and you are unable, incapable or tired of other methods:

    RIDICULE

There is a very large number of publications by Muslims explaining Islam in plain and simple English. Look in any public library for books on Islam, a large proportion of them will be by orientalists and Christian missionaries, what do you think motivates someone to write a book on a subject one does not believe in and an area that has been already covered by numerous other books? Remember Christian "Translations" of the Quran whose sole intention was to discredit Islam.

    CRUSADES

Butchered everyone including defenseless women and children or any one else that got in there way. Although it has taken many hundreds of years Crusaders have improved they now only kill some women and RAPE THE REST. The twentieth centuary has seen "Ethnic Cleansing" replace the word Crusade, in 1996 one of the youngest recorded victim of rape in Bosnia was a baby of 4 Months old. Many women and children had two of there fingers severed by the Serbs so that the three remaining fingers would remind them of the Trinity.

    A WAY FORWARD

While we as Muslims believe that the entire Quran is the word of God and we would like every one to accept it as such, God Himself has given the freedom of religion which we respect. With that in mind, all we hope is that non-Muslims will at least enlighten themselves with an open heart and mind by knowing what Islam is. We hope that Muslims, Christians and Jews will find ways to work together to bring peace on earth by eradicating immorality, fear, hate, disease, poverty and injustice.

Muslims welcome the chance improve dialogue and understanding with all faiths. In addition we do not object to other groups explaining there ideas and faith to whomever expresses an interest, but we do think it is unacceptable that missionaries demean other faiths, use deceitful methods and harass communities with what can be described highly trained and focused door to door salesman.

    USE THE PROPER RESOURCES!

Most Muslims spend their time studying Islam trying to find a path to true enligtenment, and therefore may not be familiar with the "curve-ball" approach of missionaries. If you need advice concerning a problem of this sort, get in touch with people who are familiar with the tactics being used and who know how to deal with them.

    Isn't this referring to Yahweh

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies. (John 8:44)

    --------------------

Let's analyse the above passage Sentence by Sentence spoken by Jesus of the bible compare it and see if it fits Yahweh the God of Isreal :

("You are of your father the devil, John 8:44")

                             Compare to

You are the children of the LORD your God.........
    (Deuteronomy 14:1)

    ---------

("and your will is to do your father’s desires. John 8:44")

                              Compare to

"A curse on anyone who is lax in doing the LORD's work! A curse on anyone who keeps their sword from bloodshed! (Jeremiah 48:10)

    ---------

(He was a murderer from the beginning, John 8:44)

                               Compare to

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.'"
    (1 Samuel 15:3)

    ---------

("because there is no truth in him. John 8:44")

                                Compare to

Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people.
    (Jeremiah 4:10)

O Lord, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived.
    (Jeremiah 20:7)

And if a prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet.  (Ezekiel 14:9)

Now, therefore, behold, the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the Lord hath spoken evil concerning thee. (1 Kings 22:23)

    ---------

("When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, John 8:44")

                                  Compare to

I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El-Shaddai--'God Almighty'--but I did not reveal my name, Yahweh, to them. (Exodus 6:3),

But he did tell Abraham his name is genesis 15:7

He also said to him, "I am the LORD, (Yahweh) who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it." (Genesis 15:7)

    -----------------------------------

Yes it's crystal clear Jesus of the bible was referring to YAHWEH SATAN THE FATHER OF JEWS!!!!!!

    SHAME SHAME

Can you accept such a god?

The LORD regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled (GRIEVED). (Genesis 6:6)

The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his SOUL hateth (psalm 11:5)

    --------------------

It's bad enough humans having depression, stress, troubled times, grieve etc. But can you imagine God having his heard troubled? I.e Grieved !!!!! His soul hates those who do violence?

Now the question is if God is having his own troubles which directly effects his heart how can you even depend on such a god?. (Note the KJV goes as far as saying God repented) Does god have a soul? Why would god have a soul when God is the creator of the soul. Soul resides inside the body and this god Christians want us to accept seems to have a heart and soul?

A God who rests needs refreshing and often gets tired?

For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. (Exodus 31:17)

I am weary to bear them. (Isaiah 1:14)

Thou has wearied me with thine iniquities. (Isaiah 43:24)

I am weary with repenting. (Jeremiah 15:6)

How absurd according to Christians The Most Powerful God who created everything has a heart and soul needs to rest and refresh himself ? What kind of a joke is this!.

    Think about it

    Was Moses' Father-in-law his Grandfather-in-Law?

When the girls returned to Reuel their father, he asked them, "Why have you returned so early today?" ( Exodus 2:18)

Now Moses said to Hobab son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law, "We are setting out for the place about which the LORD said, 'I will give it to you.' Come with us and we will treat you well, for the LORD has promised good things to Israel."
    (Numbers 10:29)

(From the above passages we take it his father-in-laws name was Reuel? Maybe not łets read more passages..)

    ---------------

Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.  (Exodus 3:1)

Then Moses went back to Jethro his father-in-law and said to him, "Let me return to my own people in Egypt to see if any of them are still alive." Jethro said, "Go, and I wish you well." (Exodus 4:18)

(Wait a sec wasn't moses' father-in-laws name Reuel? Unless he has two names?? Well let's one more passage to get a better understanding of this mans name..)

    -----------------

Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh. (Judges 4:11)

Where did Hobab come from??? Is Hobab the son of Reuel ?

    --------------------------

What do schołars say about all this??

There seems to be some confusion in the traditions preserving—or creating as the case may be—the name of Moses’ father-in-law, Zipporah’s father.
The textual tradition identified as the Yahwist consistently refers to him as Reuel (Ex 2:18; Num 10:29), while the Elohist tradition uses the name Jethro (Ex 3:1, 3:18, 18:1-27).
To further complicate issues, another source names Hobab as the father-in-law of Moses (Judg 4:11), and Num 10:29 refers to Hobab as Reuel’s son, implying therefore that Reuel was Moses’ grandfather-in-law

In short Reuel could not have been moses' father-in-law according to judges 4:11.. The NIV goes a step further trying to fix the problem making Hobab the brother-in-law of Moses, with conflicts even more with judges!!!

So was Reuel Moses' father in law or grand father in law? And was Hobab the father in law of moses or brother in law of Moses?? You choose....

Rebecca the 10 year old bride!

Whenever I  across a Christian who acts like he's an expert on the bible. I simply ask him how well versed are you with the Hebrew bible and what type of method do you use to interpret the texts which your not sure about. 9 out of 10 admit they don't know Hebrew which is highly unsual for them as they are known for lying their way out when they get corned, but hey at least they've admitted to something.

Now that we've established that most Christians do not know Hebrew nor have that understanding on how to interpret the Hebrew texts. I would like to focus on a specific topic which Christian are unaware of. The Age of Rebecca when she got Married to Isaac?.

This subject has been discussed by many Christians mainly low level apologist who again have no idea of the Hebrew language and tried using their own interpretations which only backfired on them. The most obvious argument they make is the bible does not tell us Rebecca's Age at all you won't find it anywhere. Seems like a valid argument that's only if you read the English translation you won't find the age of Rebecca, but does this apply with the Hebrew text and the Answer is No. Before we get into the actual age given in the Hebrew bible I would like to show how certain words can give us a full picture of what the subject is for example :

A baby is not an infant nor is an infant an adolescent nor is an adolescent a teenager nor is a teenager and old man or women. Each word gives a picture of who we are referring to the words are only meant for that specific person. Each word will only fit that age. Just like me say he is an old man I'm not speaking of a baby or an infant or even a teenager rather I'm specifying who and what age the person fits in just by using this specific word which is only meant for that age category. This also applies for Arabic and Hebrew texts certain words would only apply on Specific object or subject. Now let's read from the book of Genesis and show old old was Rebecca.

    ------------------

Before he had finished praying, Rebekah came out with her jar on her shoulder. She was the daughter of Bethuel son of Milkah, who was the wife of Abraham's brother Nahor. And the girl was very beautiful, a virgin, and no man had had relations with her; and she went down to the spring and filled her jar, and came up.
    (Genesis 24:15-16)

Just to have a little background info on the above passage The beginning of chapter 24 you'll read that Abraham was old and asked his servant to go find his son Isaac a Wife. So his servant who made an oath to find Isaac a wife set off on his he came to a water well where he found Rebecca. The interesting part comes when we read verse 15 :

"And the girl was very beautiful, a virgin, and no man had had relations with her; and she went down to the spring and filled her jar, and came up." Verse 15. The question is was Rebecca really a girl as the bible states if so how Old? The Hebrew text gives us the answer.

The Hebrew text used for girl is NAAR! Now this word NAAR in Hebrew means child of 10 years or less

Encyclopedia of Jewish Medical Ethics defines the word as someone who is a “minor”, “very young person, including a baby”:
    MINOR*
    A. DEFINITION OF THE TERM
Katan (minor) and yeled (child are Hebrew terms used interchangeable. The term yeled in the Bible is used for a human being from birth through adulthood, including an infant (tinok), a lad (NAAR), a youth (elem), and even a fetus (ubar). The term Katan refers to a very young person, particularly when compared to an older person. In Jewish law, the term Katan distinguishes a minor from an adult with regard to legal rights and responsibilities. The Halakhic age of a katan is defined differently in accordance with specific laws.
The word naar refers to a VERY YOUNG PERSON, INCLUDING A BABY. The word is also used to denote a maid or servant.” (Encyclopedia of Jewish Medical Ethics: A compilation of Jewish medical law on all topics of medical interest, from the most ancient sources to the most current deliberations and decisions, with a concise medical and historical background, and a comprehensive analysis of relevant general ethical approaches [Translated by Fred Rosner, M. scholars Johann Buxtorf and Franz Delitzsch write on the word Na’ar:
“2. N’r II. Johann Buxtorf connects na’ar with n’r II, ‘shake off.’ A na’ar is a ‘LITTLE BOY, AN INFANT,’ IN THAT HE HAS BEEN ‘FORCED OUT OF HIS MOTHER’S WOMB.’ Franz Delitzsch takes as his starting point the striking use of n’r in the Pentateuch to refer to a FEMALE, concluding that ‘originally it denoted a NEW-BORN INFANT OF EITHER SEX,’ since it ‘is an ancient derived noun with the meaning ‘shaking off, bringing forth’ (cf. Job 39:3), concretely: that which has been brought forth, offspring.’” (9. F. Delitzsch, ‘Pentateuch-Kritisce Studien. VIII, ‘Seitschrift fur Wissenschaft und Kirkliches Leben, 1 (1880), 393-99.) We also read Rebecca had her own NURSE, its so obvious why she had a NURSE because she was a little girl!

Send me away that I may go to my master." And they said, "We will call the girl and consult her wishes." Then they called Rebekah and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" And she said, "I will go. Thus they sent away their sister Rebekah and her nurse with Abraham's servant and his men (Genesis 24:57:59)

    --------------------

Here's more evidence from the bible that NAAR means baby or up to 10 years old.

When she opened it, she saw the child, and behold, the baby (NAAR) was crying. She took pity on him and said, “This is one of the Hebrews’ children.”(Exodus 2:6)

Moses answered, "We will go with our young (NAAR) and our old, with our sons and our daughters, and with our flocks and herds, because we are to celebrate a festival to the LORD." (Exodus 10:9)

Turning to Jether, his oldest son, he said, "Kill them!" But Jether did not draw his sword, because he was only a boy (NAAR) and was afraid. (Judges 8:20)

Then Manoah prayed to the LORD and said, “O Lord, please let the man of God whom you sent come again to us and teach us what we are to do with the child (NAAR) who will be born.” (Judges 13:8)

Then the woman gave birth to a son and named him Samson; and the child (NAAR) grew up and the LORD blessed him. (Judges 13:24)

And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour, and a skin of wine, and she brought him to the house of the LORD at Shiloh. And the child was young(NAAR). (1 Samuel 1:24)

"Start running," he told the boy, "so you can find the arrows as I shoot them." So the boy (NAAR) ran, and Jonathan shot an arrow beyond him. (1 Samuels 20:36)

David pleaded with God for the child (NAAR). He fasted and spent the nights lying in sackcloth on the ground. (2 Samuel 12:16)

Hadad fled to Egypt, along with some Edomites from his father's servants. At the time Hadad was a small boy (NAAR). (1 kings 11:17)

young men and women, old men and children (NAAR). (Psalm 148:12)

    ----------------------

Even the book of Jasher confirms Rebecca was 10 years old. Note Joshua 10:13 speaks of the book of Jasher as a book of Authority to confirm the sun standing still

    (THE BOOK OF JASHAR 24:37-45)
    37. And the Lord hearkened to the voice of Eliezer, for the sake of his servant Abraham, and he happened to meet with the daughter of Bethuel, the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, brother to Abraham, and Eliezer came to her house.
    38. And Eliezer related to them all his concerns, and that he was Abraham’s servant, and they greatly rejoiced at him.
    39. And they all blessed the Lord who brought this about, and they gave him, Rebecca, the daughter of Bethuel, for a wife for Isaac.
    40. And the young woman was of very comely appearance, she was a virgin, and Rebecca was ten years old in those days.
    41. And Bethuel and Laban and his children made a feast on that night, and Eliezer and his men came and ate and drank and rejoiced there on that night.
    42. And Eliezer rose up in the morning, he and the men that were with him, and he called to the whole household of Bethuel, saying, send me away that I may go to my master; and they rose up and sent away Rebecca and her nurse Deborah, the daughter if UZ and they gave her silver and gold , men servants and maid servants, and they blessed her.
    43. And they sent Eliezer away with his men; and the servants took Rebecca, and he went and returned to his master to the land of Canaan.
    44. And Isaac took Rebecca and she became his wife, and he brought her into the tent.
    45. And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebecca, the daughter of his uncle Bethuel, for a wife.

We can now conclude with utmost certainty that Rebecca was 10 years old when she Married Isaac.
