Nigerian Christians trash polemic on Shahada

One moment Korede says, the word Shahada is not found in the Quran. The next moment he says the word Shahada is used in the Quran. At least Korede has admitted, that the word Shahada is found in the Quran.

Korede said Allah Swt took the Shahada, by quoting Surah 3:18. To be honest I'm very baffled with his post, I don't understand what Korede is trying getting at?

Let's understand this verse through Quran commentary before we expose Korede for good.

---------------------

Islamic studies Tafheem :

Himself bears witness that there is no God but He; and likewise do the angels and the men possessed of knowledge  bear witness in truth and justice that there is no God but He, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.

Commentary:

14. The testimony in question is from God Himself, Who knows directly all the realities of the universe, Who observes every existing thing without obstruction. It is the testimony of the One from Whose sight nothing is hidden, and who can be a better first-hand witness than He? His testimony is that no one but He is possessed of the attributes of godhead; no one has the power to govern the universe, and no one has the right to claim the rights which belong exclusively to God.

15. After God, the most trustworthy testimony is that of the angels, for they carry out the administration of the universe. The testimony of the angels, based on their own
observations, is that the Will of God alone reigns supreme in the universe, and they turn to Him alone in the governance of the heavens and the earth. Moreover, all creatures possessing knowledge of reality have testified, unanimously, that no one except the One True God reigns and rules over the universe.

Ibn kathir tells us :

Allah bears witness, and verily, Allah is sufficient as a Witness, and He is the Most Truthful and Just Witness there is; His statement is the absolute truth,

(But Allah bears witness to that which He has sent down (the Qur'an) unto you (O Muhammad )) ﴿4:166﴾.

Allah then mentioned the testimony of His angels and those who have knowledge after he mentioned His own testimony, and the angels, and those having knowledge (also bear witness to this)). This Ayah emphasizes the great virtue of those who have knowledge.

--------------------

As we can see from the above commentators, that the witness of Allah Swt is sufficient and He is the most high and Truthful. Testifying that there is only one God by God Almighty Himself shows how true this is. If Korede thinks by God testifying means he gave Shahada, then Korede has to explain this verse taken from the Arabic Bible.

7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. (Psalm 50:7)

اسْمَعْ يَا شَعْبِي فَأَتَكَلَّمَ. يَا إِسْرَائِيلُ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ عَلَيْكَ: «أَنَا اللهُ إِلَهُكَ.

Notice how the word Shahada أَشْهَدُ in Arabic is used. Shall we conclude Yahweh took shahada?. How about this :

Samuel said to them, "The LORD is witness against you, and also his anointed is witness this day, that you have not found anything in my hand." "He is witness," they said. (1 Samuel 12:5)

Can we conclude Yahweh and his anointed gave shahada شَاهِدَيْنِ ?

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. (Psalm 19:7)

Again the above verse in Arabic read the Shahada of Yahweh is true. Do you see the problem Korede brings to himself.

Conclusion :according to the understanding of Korede, Yahweh of the Bible took his Shahada as found in the Arabic Bible
